The Neurorehabilitation Fellowship Program of the Department of Neurology offers a one year clinical fellowship (non-ACGME accredited) for individuals who have completed an approved residency in neurology, neurosurgery, or physical medicine and rehabilitation. Our clinical neurorehabilitation service includes active rehabilitation programs in stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and neuromuscular diseases. Services provided at The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis and Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Additional services are provided in the the Center for Advanced Medicine outpatient clinic. The fellowship prepares individuals for the clinical practice of neurorehabilitation and a second fellowship year in clinical or laboratory investigation is available for selected individuals who desire additional training in preparation for an academic career. As with all fellowship programs in the Department of Neurology, salary and benefits for the first fellowship year are at the standard PGY-4 level for the Washington University Medical Center.
Application for the fellowship is made by letter of interest directed to Dr. Corbetta. Required supporting documentation includes a current curriculum vitae and three letters of reference from individuals who are familiar with your work. One of these letters must be from your residency program director. A visit to the medical center for an interview is strongly encouraged. The fellowship runs for the standard July 1-June 30 academic year. Applications and interviews should be completed prior to January 1 of the year in which the fellowship is to commence.
