Dr. Ford is a stroke specialist with clinical interests in: very early “hyper-acute” management of stroke, (2) stroke in young adults, and (3) stroke in sickle cell anemia. Her research interests include clinical trials testing novel therapies in the acute management and secondary prevention of stroke. Her laboratory research evaluates novel, functional MRI sequences to measure blood flow and oxygen metabolism as biomarkers to improve the understanding, prevention, and treatment of stroke.
