Connolly Laboratory

Anne M. Connolly, MD is an expert in pediatric neuromuscular disease and neuroimmunology. She is involved in several clinical studies examining the relationship between auto-antibodies and childhood neurological disorders, including opsoclonus/myoclonus, epilepsy, autism, and peripheral nerve injury. She is also interested in the contribution of immunologic injury to some of the childhood muscular dystrophies. Dr Connolly sees both children and adults in the neuromuscular clinics at the medical school and also attends on the general pediatric neurology service.

In my laboratory, we study autoantibodies and work to characterized particular autoantigens in a variety acquired and inhereted neurologic diseases affecting children. These diseases include immune mediated neuropathies, opsoclonus myoclonus syndrome, acquired epileptic aphasia, autism and muscular dystrophies.
