As one of the largest multidisciplinary sleep centers in the nation, the Washington University Sleep Center has the advantage of working with first-class physicians involved in both patient care and cutting-edge research, many of whom are recognized in Best Doctor's in America and America's Top Doctors.
The Sleep Medicine Center is within the Department of Neurology at Washington University School of Medicine, which has consistently ranked in the top three medical schools in the United States by U.S. News & World Report.
One of the benefits of a multidisciplinary sleep center involves the collaboration of physicians from many medical specialties in the testing, diagnosis and treatment of your symptoms, through highly specialized studies with the convenience and privacy of a hotel setting.
To schedule a consultation visit to discuss your current sleep problems, in addition to available treatment options, please call the Washington University Sleep Medicine Center at 314-362-4342.
The Sleep Medicine Center is an Accredited Member Center of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). The AASM provides a gold standard by which other organizations and companies evaluate sleep programs, assuring quality patient care through comprehensive clinical evaluation and treatment.
Effective July 2005, the Sleep Medicine Center became part of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) for Sleep Medicine Fellowship.
In addition to the science of sleep medicine, the Washington University Sleep Center has the expertise of physicians in the fields of pulmonology and critical care medicine, otolaryngology including head and neck surgery, neurology, and behavioral therapy. The center physicians have specialized training in sleep medicine and work closely with consultants in the fields of cardiology, psychiatry and pediatrics.
At the Sleep Center, physicians are assisted in your care by a dedicated staff of registered polysomnograph technologists, registered respiratory therapists and registered nurses.
Our physicians have the full resources of Barnes-Jewish Hospital, ranked eighth in the nation by U.S. News & World Report, and Washington University School of Medicine at their disposal.
While most studies are performed as an out patient procedure at the Sleep Center, our affiliation with Barnes-Jewish Hospital makes it convenient to arrange a hospital admission for an overnight sleep study, when clinically indicated.
