The Section Head of Neuro-Psychology is Steven Petersen, PhD The Neuropsychology Division faculty study the brain localization of higher functions such as visual processing, attention, language and memory. To address these issues, studies are performed using several different methods, including detailed behavioral descriptions of normal information processing, PET activation studies of normal humans performing specific tasks, and the study of behavioral deficits following damage to specific brain areas in both humans and monkeys. The integration of these methods provides both converging evidence and complementary information about functional localization. The Neuropsychology Division works closely with the Neuroimaging Section. Faculty: Maurizio Corbetta, Francis Miezin, Steven E. Petersen, Bradley L. Schlaggar, MD PhD, Gordon L. Shulman, PhD
