Welcome to SIGN - Student Interest Group in NeurologyThe Student Interest Group in Neurology (SIGN) is a new group for MD and MD/PhD students at Washington University School of Medicine, sponsored by the Department of Neurology and the American Academy of Neurology. Our goal is to provide opportunities for medical students to learn more about clinical and research activities in the neurosciences, and career opportunities in these fields. To further student interest and involvement, we have established a shadowing program between medical students and faculty from the Departments of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry. In addition we are planning to organize a series of lectures featuring prominent physicians and scientists who work in the field of neuroscience and assemble a discussion panel featuring current neurology residents. We have also instituted a new Meet the Professors series of small group outings with professors from the Neurology department.
