Adult & Pediatric Epilepsy Fellowship Programs

R. Edward Hogan, MD, Director of Adult Epilepsy Section and
Liu-Lin Thio, MD, PhD Director of Pediatric Epilepsy Section

Overview

The adult and pediatric epilepsy sections specializes in the treatment of patients with epilepsy utilizing a multidisciplinary team approach including neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuropsychologists, and epilepsy nurses. We specialize in the evaluation of patients with seizures that have not responded to antiepileptic medications for non-pharmacological treatments including epilepsy surgery and stimulation devices. We also participate in clinical trials designed to better delineate the optimal use of our current treatment options and to test promising new treatments. Our goal is the complete control of seizures so that our patients may reach their full potential.
Research

This section has the broad objectives of carrying out basic and clinical research, and clinical programs in epilepsy.
