The very best thing about Washington University Neurology and the University:
 |
The collegial, supportive atmosphere that permeates everything we do. There is a spirit of collaboration and cooperation here not found at many other institutions. Dr. Holtzman leads a department that values teaching and education and supports the development of the careers of residents and junior faculty. Many residents stay on as fellows and many are now on the faculty. Many choose outstanding fellowships elsewhere, and some of those later come back to join our faculty (21 former residents are currently on the faculty). Many former residents and faculty hold prominent academic positions around the world including at least 5 Department chairs. Others pursue private clinical practice in the Saint Louis metropolitan area or around the US and the world. Whether your interests are in academic neurology or private clinical practice, Washington University Neurology is ready and willing to help you achieve your highest career goals.
