Rajat Dhar, FRCPC, MD

Dr. Dhar is an Attending Physician in the Neurology/Neurosurgery Intensive Care Unit at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and carries out clinical research in neurological critical care. The focus of his research seeks to understand the brain's response to the transfusion of red blood cells in patients at risk for cerebral ischemia after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage.

Medical Training

Dr. Dhar studied in the Arts & Science Programme at McMaster University before completing his M.D. in 2000 at the same institution, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. He completed a residency in neurology at the University of Western Ontario, and London Health Sciences Centre, becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 2005.
